Projects

Bus Shelter Project

I was chosen to be part of a project funded by Brimscombe and Thrupp parish council, where a group of artists, including myself, were commissioned to revitalise a series of deteriorating bus shelters in the community. I employed hand-painting skills directly onto the stone surfaces of the shelter. I incorporated faux aged sign writing and pictorials inspired by the theme of the local Ironworks Foundries to establish a dialogue between the area's rich history and its contemporary identity, .

The Prince Albert

I collaborated closely with the proprietors of the Prince Albert to create new signage and a mural. Utilising the art of hand-painted lettering, pictorial elements, and an assortment of colours, we captured the essence of this extraordinary pub renowned for its vibrant music scene and unparalleled atmosphere.

Studio 3

I was asked by artspace Studio 3 to paint their workshop doors. This artistic space is inhabited by a diverse group of talented individuals who passionately express their creativity through various mediums. I deeply appreciated Mryn, the owner's unwavering trust in my abilities, allowing me the freedom to infuse my own artistic vision into this design.

I hand painted the doors with the help of
graphic designer and sign painter Hannah Olley

Studio 18 Exhibition

In the winter of 2022 Hannah Olley and I created new work and two murals for an exhibition called Warm Sun, we displayed these works at Studio 18. The exhibition was a celebration of sign writing. I produced this body of work because I wanted to experiment with my design layouts, typography, color schemes, and spatial relationships between decorative designs. I also wanted to explore glass work; Gold Leaf blending in oil size and also water size gilding, decorative glass painting, sign writing and reverse glass painting.

Prema Arts Centre

I was able to take some of the work I had made for Warm Sun to Prema Arts Centre for a solo show to celebrate my new residency there.
